Meet the expert: Tensr

Welcome to our “Meet the Expert” series, where we showcase the wide range of Google expertise within the Cronos Group. In this series, we interview experts from different Cronos competence centers to learn about their unique perspectives and how they are leveraging  Google technology to drive innovation and growth.

In this installment, we had the pleasure of speaking with Bruno De Deken, Managing Partner at Tensr, a Cronos company that specializes in building custom AI solutions. Throughout our interview, Bruno shared his insights into the world of AI and data science, and how Tensr is leveraging Google’s technology to help businesses solve complex problems and achieve their strategic objectives.

When does your company use Google’s services?

At Tensr, we use Google’s services to build custom AI solutions for our clients. We rely on the full spectrum of Google AI solutions, from TensorFlow to Vertex AI, to create solutions that are tailored to each client’s unique needs and challenges. In addition, we leverage Google Cloud to provide our clients with flexible and scalable infrastructure that can support their evolving business needs.

We use Google’s technology to solve a wide range of complex business problems with AI solutions. For example, we help businesses streamline their operations by automating processes such as image and text recognition, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.

One of the key benefits of working with Google is the breadth and depth of their AI offerings. For example, TensorFlow is a powerful open-source library for building and training machine learning models, and it’s a critical component of many of the solutions we build for our clients.

Vertex AI is another game-changing offering from Google that we’re really excited about. It provides a unified platform for building, training, and deploying machine learning models, and it’s designed to make the entire process much more efficient and streamlined. With Vertex AI, we can build and deploy custom machine learning models quickly and easily, which means that our clients can start seeing the benefits of AI faster than ever before.

As a data engineer, I am most impressed by Google’s data tools and services. Technologies like BigQuery are simply unmatched in terms of performance and usability

Bruno De Deken, Managing Partner Tensr

As a data engineer, I am extremely impressed by the scalability and extensive featureset of BigQuery, Google’s cloud-based data warehouse solution. With BigQuery, businesses can store and analyze massive amounts of data quickly and easily, without the need for complex infrastructure or hardware investments.

Overall, by using the full spectrum of Google AI and data solutions, we’re able to build powerful, custom AI solutions that meet our clients’ specific needs. And with Google’s ongoing commitment to innovation and security, we’re confident that we can continue to deliver cutting-edge solutions that help our clients stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving world of AI and data science.

Why Google?

In my experience, what sets Google apart in the AI and data science space is their ability to think about their product offering as a cohesive whole. Rather than offering a patchwork of disparate tools and services, Google has developed a comprehensive platform that is designed to work together seamlessly.

For example, Google Cloud Platform provides a range of tools and services for building, deploying, and managing applications in the cloud. This includes powerful data storage and processing tools like BigQuery, as well as machine learning tools like TensorFlow and AutoML. And with Google’s focus on open-source technology, it’s easy to integrate these tools with other open-source solutions.

What’s really impressive about Google’s product offering, though, is the way everything works together. For example, with Vertex AI, Google has created a unified platform that brings together tools for building, training, and deploying machine learning models. This makes it much easier for businesses to create and deploy custom machine learning models quickly and efficiently.

What direction is Google evolving in according to you?

In my view, one of the most exciting things about this field is how rapidly it is evolving. As AI building blocks become more powerful and easier to use, businesses will be able to leverage these tools to solve increasingly complex problems and unlock new opportunities.

I believe that tools like Vertex AI represent the future of AI and data science, as they make it possible for anyone, regardless of technical skill, to leverage the power of machine learning.

Bruno De Deken, Managing Partner Tensr

At the same time, it’s important to remember that data will continue to be crucial in this field. Without high-quality data to feed into machine learning models, even the most advanced AI tools will be of limited use. This is why data management and governance will continue to be a critical aspect of data science and AI in the years to come.

Another trend that we’re seeing in this space is the rise of multi-cloud environments. As businesses increasingly adopt cloud computing solutions, they are often using multiple cloud providers to meet their various needs. This can create challenges around data management and application development, which is why Google has developed tools like Anthos to help businesses manage multi-cloud environments more easily.

Looking ahead, I believe we’ll continue to see exciting innovations in the AI and data science space, driven by advances in AI building blocks, data management and governance, and multi-cloud solutions. Google is well-positioned to be a leader in this space, and I’m excited to see where the future takes us.

Which keywords would you use to Google your company?

We specialize in AI and data solutions on GCP, so we’d probably want people to find us using keywords like “AI consulting,” “data science solutions,”, “big data” and “GCP”.

But besides technical terms, we’re also committed to building long-term relationships with our clients and helping them unlock the full potential of AI and data science. We believe that the key to success in this field is not just about building the most advanced models or using the latest tools, but about truly understanding our clients’ needs and goals and working collaboratively to achieve them.

As a result, I would also want our customers to find Tensr based on our core values and ideals. We want potential clients to know that when they work with Tensr, they can expect a high level of expertise in the data aspects of AI, as well as a commitment to building long-term relationships and delivering value over time.

In conclusion, our talk with Bruno De Deken has provided valuable insights into the world of AI and data science, and how Google’s technology is enabling companies like Tensr to build custom AI solutions that help businesses achieve their goals. From the scalability of BigQuery to the flexibility of Google Cloud and the power of Vertex AI, Google’s technology stack is truly impressive and continues to evolve rapidly.
